When walking often I wonder how the hell I didn’t notice certain things before. This is one of those cases. The shop is in Euston Station and as the shop clearly states there is a website for it called http://transformationshops.co.uk/ here is a quote from the website:
“Transformation shops offer transvestites, crossdressers, transsexuals and transgendered a safe heaven ,discreet , confidential and truly feminine personal transvestite shopping experience, as well as providing a he to she make over transformation service for transvestites.”
Very interesting. I would love to know how such a store got started and I wonder if anyone doing pantomime also pop into such a store.
Also in Waterloo there is also this massive camera.
My first reaction was to find out if any of the buttons work fortunately a brave 5 year old answered this question for me unfortunately the answer is no.
Prior to working for SKK lighting I used i-Google. I mostly use it as a one stop shop for writing down quick notes and also keeping all my web tabs in one place. I find it useful and its nice to know that no matter where I go my own custom homepage is easily accessible. It’s almost like taking a piece of home with you.
Later on I discovered Google Docs it works out to be pretty neat. While working at SKK I would hop from one computer to another and not give a dam about losing my work because it was all in one solid place online. In fact the only issue I had was getting used to constantly switching between different keyboard layouts.
Google calendar then enters my life I first used it to remember birthdays and also exams dates and it works out well there is no need for additional software and it with me where ever I go even at one point I was using Google with a friend so we could both edit our details on a document together.
Now I work for SKK lighting and I'm getting pummelled by E-mails and my instant reaction is that I need a web address purely dedicated to dealing with this. Normally I use a Hotmail account but that's for my more personal stuff. So I thought I have an old Google account that I'm not really using lets use that and then an odd thing happened. I noticed that it was actually quite good! It condenses your chains of E-mails on one topic into more manageable click-able chunks and most of it is quite intuitive. Even though now I have a dedicated SKK address I still use G-mail for dealings with clients because I hate the notion of having to set up outlook to let me see my mail and already I have so many contact that shifting them over would be a hassle.
Event the contacts I'm now gathering are almost automatically being categorised for me into a contact sheet which I love simply because now I am getting more organised.
Finally I find on g-mail a "to do" list today which now happily resides in the corner of my G-mail screen and I just discovered that today. I'm quite uncertain how Google is making money out of me because I don't click any of their adverts so in my mind Google is helping me do work by getting money from other people.
Yes Google has eaten my life and I know that if Google wanted to they could get a pretty darn good picture of what I've been up to but the honest fact is that I am OK with that. I'm not telling Goggle about my dealings in sex drugs or rock-n-roll and the good thing about massive companies like Google is that they can't do anything stupid without getting a massive backlash from the global community and any action Google does is under massive scrutiny.
It is not like I’m only using Google products because it's there. I will happily do my research when dealing with software and a prime example is with Flickr who I am currently paying £20 a year to them simply because i take a lot of photos and they allow unlimited uploads for a year and allow me to organise my work. Picasa which is Google's equivalent just doesn't do it as well and I am now looking at Wordpress and wondering if it is the way to go.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Google will shape people’s lives in the future. While I have used Google for easily 7 years most of its offshoots I have only used within the last 3. So I expect more things to come about from it and not just from Google but from its rivals as well who try and innovate new ways of interacting with the net and I will look forward to seeing it.

I am aware of the mild hint of irony that I’m writing this up to be placed on a Blogspot website in fact I think I made my Google account because I wanted a Blogspot account.
